Karen developed the CardioGolf Slope Fitness Platform in 2018 to help golfers practice uphill and downhill lies. The Slope is also a great tool to add to your overall exercise routine. In addition, you can perform a variety of traditional low-impact exercises for strength, balance, core and upper body development.
Do you always have a flat lie on the golf course?
The answer is no! So, it’s important to be able to practice your swing on sloping lies to develop feel and stability. The ‘Slope’ is arched to give the sense of your fairway slope. You can vary the angle on which you place your foot to practice. The CardioGolf Slope is ideal for cardiovascular training as well as lower body exercises. In addition, the curve in the Slope works similarly to a balance or BOSU ball. Therefore, with the CardioGolf Slope, there is no need to have different types of balls. The CardioGolf Slope Fitness Platform will help you work on your core body muscles (the abdominals and back muscles).
A Primary Benefit
A primary benefit of exercising on the arched CardioGolf Slope, as opposed to exercising directly on a hard flat surface, is that the body responds to the instability of the ‘slope’ to remain balanced. You must engage many more muscles to stay stable.
The CardioGolf Slope Fitness Platform can double as a gym bench or a chair to challenge your body’s balance in ways that a stable bench cannot. And, it’s easy to move and store.
Karen Jansen teaches her CardioGolf classes using the Slope and the Shortee Training Club. Designed to be used in spaces where swinging a standard length golf club would be impossible, the 23″ Shortee Club is perfect to practice your golf swing indoors.
